Volunteers

Paramus United Soccer Club is an all-volunteer organization. Our organization is only as good as its volunteers.  We are finding it more difficult every year to get people to volunteer their time with essential functions that requires hundreds of hours of work.  We need the help from our parents to continue with the success of our program. With this, the Paramus United SC has for its club/travel program a Work Bond.  The work bond fee will be $50 per family not per child and will be collected at the time of the online registration process.  When registering multiple family members for the program, be sure to create a Family account. This payment will be returned once parents have completed their volunteer duty of a 10 hours shift (five hours for each season) or as in a task driven activity for Paramus United Soccer Club. The purpose of the volunteer work bond is not to make money, but to encourage our membership to become actively involved in making our club the best it can be for our children. The bond will help the club in keeping our fees low as well as offer more for your money. There are many ways in which parents can volunteer their time to recuperate their work bond. Those include being appointed as an active board member by the executive committee of by assisting with general club operations or participating in ongoing club initiatives (head coaches, team managers, preseason field preparation, concession stands, field maintenance, tournaments committee, fundraising and sponsorship committees, etc.) throughout the year.   We are hoping that everyone will assist the club with their time and few will forfeit their bond.  We will be utilizing “Sign Up Genius” as a tool for you to be able to sign up for the required duties.  Shifts/Duties will be on a first come/first serve basis, however there will be plenty of shifts to sign up for each activity. If your assigned duty is canceled due to weather, etc, you will be required to sign up for another shift to make your complete hours. If you commit to a shift/duty and do not show up (no call) or drop out, you will automatically forfeit your work bond.It is the volunteer’s responsibility to properly document the hours for meeting your Work Bond requirement.  The attached work bond form must be filled out, signed by an executive committee member and be turned in no later than the end of each season. If you fail to submit a completed work bond form by the end of each season, you will forfeit your work bond to the Club.  No exceptions will be made and work bond hours will not be carried over to the following season, as we need continued help each season.Let’s come together for the future success of our soccer club!
